Terms of Service

The Service

Sparkostory (www.sparkostory.com) generates personalised children's storybooks using AI illustration technology. You provide a photo and details; we produce a book.

Your Purchase

When you purchase a Sparkostory book, you receive a personal, non-transferable licence to:

  • Download and read the PDF for personal and family use
  • Print the PDF at home or at a print shop for personal use

You may not:

  • Resell or commercially reproduce the book
  • Use the AI-generated illustrations for other purposes
  • Share the PDF publicly (e.g. uploading to social media or a website)

Prices and Payment

Prices are shown and charged in US dollars (USD), whatever country you are in. If your card is issued in another currency, your card issuer converts the amount at its own rate and may add a foreign transaction fee; Sparkostory does not set or receive those charges. Orders placed before 6 October 2026 were charged in Malaysian ringgit (MYR) and keep that currency.

Gifts

A gift purchase gives you a gift code worth what you paid, to pass on to someone else. They redeem it towards a story of their own. Gift codes expire 90 days after purchase and are non-refundable, except where the law where you live requires a refund.

Read-Aloud

Stories in your Bookshelf can be read aloud by a computer-generated narrator. Read-aloud is free for now. We may start charging for it in future; if we do, we will show the price before you buy, and anything you have already paid for stays yours.

Your Child's Photo

Every time you upload a photo — for a story, or for a child's profile character — we ask you to confirm, and record that you confirmed:

  • You are the parent or legal guardian of the child in the photo, or you have their parent or legal guardian's permission
  • You have the right to use the photo — you took it, or whoever did has let you use it
  • The photo does not show other people who have not agreed to its use

You give us permission to use the photo only to create your child's illustrated character and the stories you order, and to store it as described in our Privacy Policy. The illustrations are made by AI models from Google (Gemini, through Google's paid APIs), which process the photo on our behalf and do not use it to train their models. We never use your child's photo for advertising, and we never sell it. Do not upload a photo you are not entitled to use; if you do, you are responsible for any claim that follows.

Age Eligibility

Sparkostory is intended for parents or guardians purchasing books for children aged 4–8. You must be 18 or older to make a purchase.

Availability

We aim to deliver your PDF within 10 minutes of payment. If generation fails, you are entitled to a full refund (see Refund Policy).
